Toady 's Blog

Just a bit of a ramble really not really a blog. This is a strange Bank holiday , it is but it isn't. I suppose as the kids aren't off school for any amount of time nobody tends to go away. Anyway we have typical Bank holiday weather here this morning, it's the first time I've woken up to rain for 6 weeks and the forecast is for quite a lot of rain all week. My new plants are loving it and I'll go out and spread the woodchip mulch when they've had a good soaking.

Just to annoy UPL, I did well at the car boot again of Saturday. I got three cannas in a pot for £2.50, a tray of trailing lobelia for the same and a pink osteospurnum for £1, and a baby tree lupin for £1.50, a Mason's pottery milk jug for 25p and Poole pottery pin tray with a dolphin on it for £2, and a dear little child's basket for 50p.

I'm babysitting the Springer baby again today as my daughter has a long day shift followed by a sleep over shift. God she works so hard for lousy money, I hope they appreciate her.

Well enough of my verbal emmidge.

Send a bit of rain this way. We've only had a couple of showers in the last 30 days and things are desperate down the allotment.

Just caught up on previous-Amazing now how property has gone up. Devon and Cornwall are real 'hot spots' now.

Been raining here on and off. Am as jealous as UPL re plants at car boot-have beds dug and nothing in them yet-run out of money.

warm wishes
xx

Not much rain here but quite cold and a sea fret hovering. I'm paying my first visit to North Devon tomorrow, to see the eldest son. I may or may not find my way!

It tried to rain here but it ran out of energy and started to blow a gale instead, which is not what I wanted.

Finally lots of lovely rain here today too - I don't think we had a drop all through April. Just caught up with your one bleow too - it must have been a lovely place to come to in your 20's, fate obviously led you there.

Rain, rain, go away..it's raining here too. You really were lucky at the sale - I envy you the tree lupin as the deer don't eat them (usually).

A very late good evening from NYC to you, Toady.
Confession, when I am not at work, I love to wear my oldest t-shirts, knit-by-me jumpers, and jeans that are verging on disreputable.
For now, let us not even discuss the hot weather off-duty wardrobe.
It is comfort first.
Now...let me say again how I would love to go to a car boot sale/flea market with you. You clearly have the eye. I would not want to buy anything (this tiny apartment cannot hold any more things) but I would just want to see the sale as you see it!
Cheers to you. xo
