Oh what a nasty, frustrating, wet and boring weekend. I need a rant to move on so I'll describe it. Don't read it if you don't want to, it's for my benefit really.
Firstly the car boot was another wash out and I bought nothing, not even a packet of seeds. The cornflowers that I planted last weekend have all become a slugs breakfast because there is no sign of them now, nor a sign of the four packets of seeds scattered last weekend. My mini greenhouse blew over in the wind in spite of my moving it up the garden into the shelter of the wall; lots of squashed and broken geraniums and cobaeas, but I think some can be salvaged.
I have cut out some new covers for my kitchen chair pads, found the sewing machine but there's no sign of the foot pedal. Lost in the move perhaps,; I've sent out a search party but no joy yet.
Of course the Purplecoo site has been a bit of a tinker and I've spent hours devising ways to stay connected, that is till yesterday lunch time when we lost our electricity. Thought it was just a power cut but it was off for 5 hours. OH then realised that the meter had tripped out and put it back on only for it to trip again. It turns out that Mother's table-top cooker is the culprit, so I'm now waiting for our friend Phil the Spark to come around to test it. If it's faulty I'll then have to do battle with Argos. Deep joy.
There. Feeling a bit better now that's off my chest.

Oh sounds awful, am missing the purple coo too, can't get into the site just now, hate being locked out. It is really cold here today, cabbage plants burnt with the wind, happy farmer has strimmed everywhere, so grass throughout the house and tons of people arriving soon...good to have a grr grr!!
We've friends who live just outside of Plymouth and to hear them talk you'd believe that the climate down in the SW was mediterranean. Wet and cold - what's that!
Sorry you've have a rotten weekend - our's was similar and only cheered up by the arrival of son No3 and lovely girlfriend.
Today looks better. Onwards and upwards.
It is damp and horrible out and that never helps spirits much does it?
Hope you feel better now you have had a good Grrr!
Shame about the sewing machine-if I lived closer I would have helped you.
warm wishes

Those table top cookers are buggers. Mum had one as an emergency when the Rayburn failed. Always tripping out the house but she was very attached to this thing. Had a dreadful weekend here and still mopping up hence my soggy blog. love mousie

The photos are fantastic.
Moves grrh we have lost parts to our brass bed and because we parted with the removal men on bad terms I can't even ask if they are in the lorry v.frustrating.
Also I thought I would try for once to be kind to the wildlife and forgoed slug pellets what a fool most of my runner beans have been chomped despite all my foot crushing forays out into the garden. They even got stugg in the greenhouse can't wait to get my ducks.
Well it can only get better. Sorry, I'm one of those annoying optimists. All the best! Crystal x
Toady I think there's been something in the water - I've had a pig of a few days too....not able to get into the site, mother being difficult, brother being a nightmare, house buyer being a pig.....aaaghhhhh. But hopefully now it's clearing. You know I don't think I have EVER found anything at a car boot! Janexx
Poor Toady!! What a rotten day. I hope it gets better for you! I'm still looking for things that were lost in a move 10 years ago, so can sympathise.
