Surprise Craft Fair

Had a phone call from B asking if I would be interested in doing the half term Appledore Craft Fair as she had a cancellation, so off I went yesterday and had a lovely day. It was quite quiet but I made a small profit and lots of giggles with a bunch of lovely people. Sorry the photos are so higgedy piggledy but drag and drop refuses to work. Please note my latest bargain buy, the lovely wooden clothes airer bought for £2 in the charity shop.
If you see anything that you fancy just email me.
Due to the craft fair and other pressing things like housework I have not yet had a chance to play with my new kiln. Yes it has arrived. After much frantic selling on Ebay and scraping about I eventually cobbled together enough. Watch this space for lovely enamelled and fused glass creations OR reports that a small market town in N. Devon has been burnt to the ground.

Good for you Toady on the market - I have hunted far and wide for a wooden clothes airer - they don't make them any more and these dratted plastic things are not strong enough for 11pairs of wet jeans!
Will keep my eye on the Devon news to see if you have stoked up!

Couldn't you bring you craft stall up north at some stage? The Highland Agricultural Show maybe or the Glendale Country Show are both into crafts. They each have a huge craft tent and it sells such beautiful designs.

Well done, Toady! I love the idea of being able to just respond so quickly, and have the day a success. Wonderful to meet other crafty folks, too. Maybe you will have some more invites to these fairs as the Christmas season approaches.

Thought of you the other day Toady, I was in Dartmouth, my Mother gave me her wooden clothes holder, aren't they useful ?

I went on an excellent glass fusing course last year. If you are interested in the details just PM me and I'll pass them on.
There have been no suitable craft fairs round here for ages...lucky you to be offered a cancellation.

Grief Toady, I would have fainted away and died at such short notice! How cool are you! Well done on making a profit too; don't seem to hear that much lately about the fairs so maybe things are turning a little. xx

Well done Toady.
And that airer was a bargain, I have always wanted one of those.

Ooh, good luck with the kiln... no news of explosions yet so it must be okay! Sounds exciting.

Ah, I can't drag and drop either Toady.....never understand how people do it so effortlessly. Didn't know Appledore had a craft fair - how lovely....such a gorgeous setting. Glad you had a good day.....
