The Front Room...

...is finished. Great big sighs of relief all round. The following piccies show the room, some of my favourite french artwork and the new fireplace. I particularly like the two french posters, one from Pont Aven and one from Cap Sizun. The smaller picture is by a Newlyn artist , Christopher Wood, painted in 1929 in Douarnenez, a Breton Port that was over the bay from us when we lived in France. This was an Ebay bargain for £10 complete and framed.

I'm particularly pleased with the teak wall unit. I have filled it with all my 70's and 80's Dartington Crystal. All too precious to be used now, and a few pieces of studio pottery picked up here and there. There still a few tweaks to be made, but the worst of it's out of the way.

Very nice too Toady. I love your paintings, so evocative..and what a bargain you got with the Wood!

Very smart, crisp and clean looking and yet extremely homely. LOVE the fireplace . . . bet you really enjoy sitting in your front room.
