Doesn't it drive you potty when you've had a holiday and within about five days of your return it's as if you never went. Yesterday was one of those days that feel as if they'll never end. It bucketed down from dawn till sunset except for a small window at about 2pm when we managed to walk the dog in the drizzle. Even had to find my wellies from the back of the cupboard. I have a dreadful feeling of deja vue as it's almost identical to last year. I think we deserve a good hot summer. Oh well at least my new cornish plants will be well watered in. I 've planted an echium, a white agapanthus and a sea holly under the front room window. The echium is not the massive spikey type that grow like weeds all over Cornwall but a smaller type. Well that's what the chap on the stall said.
More pictures from Cornwall
At last the man came to move the gas pipe so things in the front room can move along. I can't wait to get it finished. Hopefully we'll go over to Barnstaple to get the wallpaper at the weekend. I'm sick of floorboards and scraped walls.

Hello to you, Toady!
Our summer also seems to have a lot of rain, but we've also been lucky to get some beautiful days.
I think that today is gonna be a good one ... humidity level is way down.
I love those pictures from Cornwall, and the names of those plants. (Have no idea what they look like, but just love the names!)
Best wishes. xo
Are echiums those tall blue spikes that look so exotic? In the south east we've had a prolonged period of very dry weather so I was desperate for rain, and when it came I was fed up with it in a couple of days. That's life!
I think the trouble is that the rainy days blot out the memory of the sunny days. And yes I hate the fact that you go away - well not just you - me as well and then within a couple of days it is as though you . . and me . . . have never been.
I like the Cornish photos.
Roll on summer!
Hi Toady,
We have had rather a lot of rain lately, does not seem to have been a good summer this year.
Have always wanted to go to Cornwall, lovely photo's Toady.
xx
Isn't Cornwall lovely...sigh. I think I need to go on a ramble to remind me of some of the places you have shown Toady xx
