Still feel as if I’m scrabbling about in the dark but at least I can get in and out and I’m even going to try to upload another picture. If it comes through it’s Bideford quay with the Lundy ferry MS Oldenberg with the ancient long bridge in the background.
I’m still on the look out for Jep. I sneaked in ‘elsewhere’ this morning and she’s posted a blog. Jep if you read this please come and join us, I want to hear about your holiday. Chickenlicken has made a few posts but sounds really down. I’ll email in a minute just to say hi.
We’ve had some very welcome rain here in North Devon and all my new planting is looking healthy. I’m afraid the hedgehog seedlings didn’t make it passed the potting on stage and have all turned up their toesies. Can’t win them all. I bought some Moneymaker tomato plants to grow on in grow bags but I never seem to do very well with them so any tips welcome.
Back to pottery classes tonight after the Easter break. I do wish I could get more inspired. Perhaps when I can bring some more finished things home I’ll get a better feel for it.
Well not doing any long blogs because we’re all busy busy catching up.

Great pic, Toady! Oh, just really feel the need for some sea air at the moment as the rape is quite strong around here at the moment. Went to Lundy when I was a sprog - would love to go again. I admire you being creative - hope the pottery goes well and you can post a pic of the finished result. Mmmmm........ a nice bowl for strawberries would be nice......xx
Fab pic - I e-mailed chicken again last night - she said she was regrouping and I think she will join us soon.
Lovely to see you blogs again.
On the tomato subject - my Moneymaker ones did best outdoors last year in the ground so am doing this again in a sheltered spot if you have one - they didnt get diseased and they did really well as did other varieties.
I went to Lundy once too - magical. We had friends up from Appledore recently - I thought of you - do so love your part of the world. I quite fancy pottery classes, must look into it. BTW - Loved your Spartacus comment on Mousie's!
I grew up in Bude on the North cornish coast and used to visit Bideford sometimes. Long time since I've been though. Must be something in the air today, Toady - no inspiration here either! Bit worried about Chicken too, bless her. (Oh, love Spartacus - and me...)xx
How dense was my last comment of course it is your own room we are all using templetes duh! Beautiful photo.
I can't sign in either have to comment on somebodies post to enter. Can live with that though as I like to comment. Don't like to make presumptions but I think ChickenL is taking bit of a breather, time to smell the roses re Woozle sort of thing, as all this can take over a bit. She does pick up emails though so give her a buzz perhaps.
Oh what a lovely photo of Bideford, I have fond memories of Bideford as I used to come to visit a school there for Autistic children every 6 weeks in my old job and used to love being in that area of N Devon, Liked Barnstaple alot.
Lovely pic Toady! I enjoyed the rain too, it meant I could finish work before 7pm!
lovely picture, used to go to devon as a very wee nipper. Whitby always reminds me of Devon...
My kiln was finally wired in today so i am bristleing with anticipation! Hope you enjoy your lesson! I emailed chicken licken too she is proably drowning in begging emails poor thing.. come on over chicken please!!
Hedgehog seedlings? I think I must have missed something a while back but I have visions of hedgehogs sunk to their chests in compost, complaining wildly. tee hee.
Lovely pic - got a lecture on the different sized bridge arches from hubbie whose family are originally from Bideford!!

Hello Toady, What a lovely picture, that is a lovely part of the country. Have popped over to see if Jep is alright. I think she is a little confused as to what she should do, as she does not like change. She dearly would love to show her pictures from the holiday. Have left her a message. I would love to do Pottery, I am thinking a small deep ceramic bowl with bluebells on would be nice. Camilla.xxx
